The short version
We collect what you type into our forms and use it to get back to you about your job. We do not sell it. With your consent, or unless you decline, we use analytics, heatmap and ad-measurement cookies to learn which pages help customers and which ads bring in work. You can change that choice at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.

What we collect
- Contact and landing-page forms: name, phone, email, the service you need and what you write.
- Photos you choose to attach to a form (for example of a hood, fan or violation notice), used only to price and plan your job.
- How you found us: the ad or link you arrived from, the first page you saw, the date of your first visit and how many times you have visited, sent with your form so we know which advertising works.
- Online estimates: what you describe, the items and building details you confirm, your name, phone, email, job address, best time to call and notes, plus the estimate number and range shown to you.
- Shop pricing requests: name, phone, email, notes and the items you picked.
- Ad source: if you arrived from an ad, the ad click ID and campaign tags in the link (for example gclid and utm values) are stored in your browser for up to 90 days and sent with any form you submit, so we know which ads bring in work.
We never ask for payment card details, government ID or bank information on this site.
Cookies and similar tools
- Essential: your language and light/dark choice (stored in your browser) and your cookie choice (cookie
nyv_consent, one year). - Analytics: Google Analytics 4 measures visits, pages and actions such as starting an estimate. IP addresses are not stored by Google Analytics 4.
- Heatmaps and session replay: Microsoft Clarity records clicks, scrolls and page interactions so we can see what is hard to use. Form field contents are masked.
- Ad measurement: Google Ads conversion tracking tells us when someone who clicked an ad calls us, sends a form or sends an estimate.
Analytics, heatmaps and ad measurement only run if you accept them, or if you have not declined them. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat that as declining. You can change your choice any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the page, and you can block cookies in your browser.
Why we use it
To answer your enquiry, prepare an estimate or quote, schedule a site visit, keep a record of work we quoted or performed, improve this website and measure which of our ads work.
Who else handles it
Netlify hosts this site and receives form submissions. Google Workspace carries our email. Google (Analytics and Ads) and Microsoft (Clarity) provide the measurement tools above, under their own privacy terms. We may share job details with a supplier or subcontractor when needed to price or do your job, or where the law requires it. We do not sell personal information.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become jobs are deleted when no longer useful, and within two years at most. Records of work we performed are kept as long as needed for contract, tax, insurance and warranty reasons. Analytics data is kept under the retention settings of each tool.
Your choices
Email info@nyventilations.com to ask what we hold about you, to correct it or to delete it. We may keep some records where the law or an active contract requires it.
Security
This site is served only over HTTPS, so what you submit is encrypted in transit, and it sends strict security headers to browsers. Access to submissions is limited to people who need it to do the work. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your private information, we will notify you as New York law requires.
Children
This site is for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above.
